EXPLANATIONS

Grace Church isn’t for religious fanatics or pretentious traditionalists. Neither would feel comfortable in our family. Our church is for real people who are genuine about relationships sincere about service, and passionate about spiritual growth. We are pursuing success in four major areas; worship, relationship, stewardship, and leadership.

We are committed to the sincere pursuit of pentecostal worship. We’re not interested in fads or mere emotionalism. These superficial efforts of the flesh lead to pride and fanaticism, but not true intimacy with God or real spiritual growth. We desire an authentic dynamic of the Holy Spirit that is not manufactured by pretense, crowd manipulation, or grandstanding, but rather is an experience that comes from a deep cry of one’s heart and a responding supernatural move of God. God desires true worshipers who will worship Him in Spirit and in Truth. Success in worship is not just one exciting service, but rather, it is an ongoing passion and longing for God that is enhanced by our gathering together and entering into His presence with a heartfelt offering of corporate praise. Our gatherings for worship should include hearing from God in the preaching of the Word and the exercise of the gifts of the Holy Spirit, and also speaking to God in prayer and praise.

Secondly, we are committed to investing our time and our efforts into developing meaningful and fulfilling relationships that reject hypocrisy and are instead built upon such Christ-like qualities as love, honesty, integrity, devotion, loyalty, compassion, and servanthood. We believe our home groups will help us grow closer together and afford an opportunity to encourage each other in faith and hope. Friendship is more important than events, and love is more precious than fame or fortune. We are investing in people, not buildings or programs. They are simply a means to a higher goal.

Thirdly, we are committed to a life of serving God and our fellow man through faithful stewardship of all the resources God has entrusted to us. We believe God gives us much to enjoy, but we must put the Kingdom of God first, and never forget to share with others who are less fortunate or who may be going through times of testing or sorrow. God blesses humble, compassionate, and sacrificial people. Balanced people know how to enjoy their blessings without being spoiled, possessive, selfish, or grasping. Our peace, our joy, and our contentment come from doing the will of God faith- fully and ardently. We also believe that we have been given tremendous potential as the Body of Christ for supernatural accomplishment in destroying the works of the devil and bringing glory to God. By our genuine love and good works we will bring glory to God and blessing to His people.

Finally, we are committed to effective leadership; leading people to Christ and leading Christians toward more fruitful and fulfilling lives. We believe Christian leadership begins in the home and extends to the school and workplace and culminates in the House of God which is empowered to bring hope and liberty to a desperate world. We believe promotion comes from the Lord and that no job is too small for us and yet no job is too much for the Lord to ask of us. We are convinced that our potential is far beyond our natural comprehension and human limitations. We believe we will discover together that we are able to do abundantly more than we could think or imagine through Christ who strengthens us. We commit ourselves to including others in our journey so we can help them grow and become more fruitful for God. None of us works alone, and none of us works for ourselves. We invest ourselves in others to promote them in the Kingdom work.

We hope you will join us as we grow together in God’s Grace and walk together in God’s love.
